I recently went shopping (for myself) and it was super fun! Although, the three piece suit I purchased included dress pants, and they were unlined. With 95% wool, those babies had to have lining, otherwise they would be very itchy. I put them aside to take to my tailor. Then, I started clearing out my closet to switch out Summer garments and bring in my Fall/Winter garments. To my delight, I found I had three pairs of pants with lining that were fit to me. Before I placed them in the bag to give away, I had a major lightbulb moment...I could re-purpose the pants and strip the lining out to use in my new pants. The end result is perfect and my tailor said, it was if I made them to fit into these pants. The moral of the story, look at your clothing from different perspectives before giving, selling or tossing away. In the end, it saved me about $100.00, however, I had already spent that the first time around. You will also be happy to know that now I will not be itchy in my wool pants!
