Lots of people are afraid of colour - they worry that colour will make them stick out like a sore thumb, especially in the workplace. But learning your personal colour palatte - and more importantly how to apply it in various different situations - solves the problem. My clients learn to embrace colour - but only those colours that work for them.
I recently got a new briefcase, and guess what colour it is?
It's not black (even though, as a Winter, I can wear black). It's not navy blue. It's not grey ...
It's pink. Yes, pink - HOT pink! As pink as the pink in the design of this page. One of my clients nearly had a heart attack when I told her about it; she's a soft Summer and couldn't imagine a fuschia briefcase being appropriate professionally. But when she saw me with it she said, "Wow! That works perfectly with your whole look and doesn't stick out at all!"
That's the power of colour - more importantly of knowing how to wear colour yourself.
I got my new briefcase from my favourite bag maker, Beijo.
